Memorial Donation for Carol Modesto

August 18, 1942 - January 3, 2022

Carol was born in Philadelphia, graduated from Lansdowne High School and achieved a certificate from Drexel. She was employed at Westinghouse for many years, where she worked in utility supportive services doing what was needed from computer card sorting to administrative tasks.

Carol was kind, gentle and had a heart of gold. She cared about everyone unconditionally, and would do anything for others to help them achieve their goals. She lived a simple life. It didn’t take much to make her happy—a phone call, a hot pink sweater, a visit or a hugs and kisses all around before saying goodbye on the phone.

Carol is survived by her loving daughter, Kristen and husband John; her granddaughters, Taylor and Kelsey, her brother Tom and her grand dogs Sadie and Brooks.

She had an an affinity for math, puzzles and she had an amazing memory. She was somewhat of a family historian and would frequently remind everyone of births, weddings, and other events that occurred starting with, “Do you know what today is?” She remembered so many fun facts and specifics about life, entertainment and current events, and would share savant-like details to start conversations with many she encountered.

Carol touched the hearts of those around her with her kindness and care. She was blessed with friends and family she enjoyed spending time with. She will be missed, and her memory cherished.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 15th, 1 pm at Edgewood Memorial Park in Glen Mills, Pa.
