Why pets are in shelters:
-Medical--allergies, illness or death
-Loss of a job and simply can't afford to care for pet
-Moving or landlord doesn't allow pet
-Too many animals in household
-Cost of pet maintenance
-Owner having personal problems
-Inadequate facilities
-Having no time for pet
-Pet illness(es)
-Incompatibility with other pets
-Irresponsible owner or abuser becomes tired of pet, and releases he/she outside to fend for themselves
